Adam Nelson Hartmann, 53, passed away peacefully in the early morning January 18th at Community Hospice Acosta RUA Center, with his girlfriend Charlene at his bedside.
He was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High, and pursued work in the landscape industry while making novelty fishing lures, combining his love for fishing with an unrivaled artistic talent. Adam played the bass for Leather Nun and loved all music. Adam met no strangers; to know Adam was to love him.
He was preceded in death by his father Frederick William Hartmann and his mother Marylu Nelson Hartmann. Adam is survived by his girlfriend Charlene Wissel, her mother Delane Wissel, her father Bruce Wissel, her brother Bruce, and her son Marc.
His sister Michelle Hartmann, brother Drew Hartmann and wife Nancy, sister Randi Hartmann Saunders, brother Eric Hartmann and his wife, Brenda. Ace, his "Bird", also survived Adam, as well as an many people who knew and loved him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Eclipse Riverside, 4219 St. John's Ave., Jacksonville 32210, and will be held Saturday February 1st at 1:00PM.
