Ann E Reincke

Ann E. Reincke, 85, of Traverse City, Michigan, entered peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Savior on March 15, 2026, at her daughter's home in Florida. She faced Lewy Body Dementia with grace and perseverance.

Born July 15, 1940, in Keswick, Michigan, Ann was the youngest child of Howard and Celia (Hinshaw) Reincke. She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Lorraine (Bill) Weigand, Wesley (Donna) Reincke, Orpha (Ed) Drone, and Ione (Rex) Shugart; and her nephews, Lynn Weigand and Victor Drone.

Ann graduated from Suttons Bay High School and studied at Northwestern Michigan College and Asbury University. Throughout her life, she was known for her compassion, strong work ethic, and deep Christian faith. Her career included work at Grand Traverse Ophthalmology Clinic, Redbird Mission in Kentucky, Munson Medical Center, Dr. Charles J. Danek's office, and Faith Reformed Church.

A breast cancer survivor, Ann encouraged and supported other women through Munson Medical Center's Navigator program and participated in the Traverse City Track Club Remembrance Run. She also served others through literacy tutoring, guiding youth, and extensive volunteer involvement in her church and community.

Ann enjoyed reading, movies, crossword puzzles, walking, baking, quilting, and sewing. She was especially known for her hospitality, encouragement, and the homemade treats she shared with others.

She is survived by her daughter and best friend, Karen, who lovingly cared for her during the last five years of her life, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.

A private burial has taken place at Keswick Maple Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Faith Reformed Church, 1139 E. Front St., Traverse City, MI 49686. Local arrangements in Florida were handled by Naugle Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Final arrangements and burial are under the direction of Martinson Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Leelanau, Michigan.
