Bernice Joan Klein Dunn, age 64, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on January 24, 2026, at her home. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio, to Frank Stankiewicz and Bernice Klein.
Bernice devoted much of her professional life to caring for others. She worked for many years as a medical assistant before transitioning to working from home with Blue Cross and Blue Shield, where she continued her service with dedication and compassion.
She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother whose life was marked by faith, strength, and generosity. Bernice loved the Lord deeply and lived out her faith through kindness and helping others. She was known for her bold spirit, strong heart, and unwavering love for her family.
Bernice had a deep appreciation for beauty and creativity. She loved orchids and violets and was an active member of both orchid and violet societies. She also enjoyed creating stained glass, cooking for those she loved, and caring for animals-especially her beloved dogs. She was a faithful member of First Conservative Baptist Church.
She was married to her husband, Stephen Dunn, for 25 loving years. Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Dunn; her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Sarah Schroth; her grandsons, Samuel and Caleb Schroth; her younger sister, Gayle; and her niece, Lauren.
A celebration of Bernice's life will be held on February 8 at 12:30 p.m. at First Conservative Baptist Church,12021 Old Saint Augustine Rad Jacksonville, FL 32258.
Bernice will be remembered for her loving heart, her faith, her strength, and the countless lives she touched. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
