On Wednesday, November 9 th 2022, Carlos E. Alonso, loving brother and uncle, passed away at the age of 89 in Jacksonville, Florida.
Carlos was born on March 3, 1933 in Matanzas Cuba to Carlos and Juana Alonso.
He received his master's degree in Civil Engineering from University of Villanova and worked for Dade County Building and Zoning Department as Chief Structural Building Plan Reviewer until his retirement.
He had a passion for other cultures and traveled worldwide. He was also an avid music and art lover. His home in Coral Gables beautifully displayed everything he loved, and he often had it full of friends. Everyone who knew him, knew that he loved practical jokes and his laughter was legendary.
Carlos was preceded in death by his parents, Hector Alonso (brother) and Adoracion Alonso Campe(sister). He is survived by his sister, Marta Alonso Foerster, several nieces/nephews, and many grandnieces/nephews.
He will be buried with his parents in Pennsylvania.
No funeral services will be held at his request.
