Christian William Kirkman, 67, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, surrounded by family and friends from heart failure. Chris was born in Kent, Ohio, on June 2, 1958. The family moved from Ohio to California, Maryland, and finally settled in Annandale, Virginia. At the age of 15, Chris achieved his Eagle Scout. In 1976, he graduated from WT Woodson High School in Fairfax, Virginia, and attended the University of Alabama for a year. Then, he continued his degree in business at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.

Chris married Janis Marks on May 10, 1997 and after eight years of living in the suburbs of Washington D.C, they decided to leave Chris’ childhood town and move to Florida. He was a Field Service Technician for WiPro and he retired in May 2024. Chris had many interests and hobbies that he and his wife loved doing together. They spent many hours at the NASCAR track, RV’ing and camping, and four-wheeling with their Jeeps all over Florida with family and friends. He loved building, fixing, and technologically upgrading everything and anything from his cars to his house.

He is survived by his wife, Janis Marks-Kirkman, his two sisters, Kathryn Mostrom and Karen Fitzpatrick, his brother-in-law, Kevin Fitzpatrick, his mother-in-law, Bunny Marks, his brother-in-law, Andrew Marks, 4 nieces, and 3 nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Donald Christian Kirkman and Natalie DeBlasio Kirkman, and his brother, Kenneth Donald Kirkman.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Kidney Foundation, American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
