Concordio F. Ursal

Concordio Frasco Ursal, 87, of Broxton, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday August 12, 2025 surrounded by his beloved family. He was born in San Remigio, Cebu Philippines on January 1, 1938, the youngest child of Susano and Hermogena Ursal. Affectionately known as “Cording”, he moved across the world from Cebu Philippines to Guyana and to the United States. He and his family settled in the state of Michigan and eventually southern Georgia. He ended his surgical career working for the Irwin Community Hospital of Georgia until his retirement in 2023.

He found joy in spending time with family, playing his favorite sport tennis and serving the community for several years as a doctor in Michigan and southern Georgia. He saved countless lives and had great pride in being the best doctor he could be. He loved getting together with his novena friends from Georgia and the Jacksonville Florida area and is considered a pioneering mentor of the Southeast Filipino community. He especially had great pride spending time with his grandchildren in the Philippines and the United States, as well as his beloved daughters and sons.

He’s survived by three of his children Gaysario Ursal, Joanna May Ursal and Reno Carlo Ursal, his devoted wife Lily Ursal. Concordio was preceded in death by his daughter Susan “Hertriel” Ursal, his parents and various family members.
