Dorothy Lee McEvoy (77), a long-time resident of Jacksonville Beach, passed away on March 15, 2018.
Dorothy was born in Jacksonville in 1940 and was a graduate of Andrew Jackson High School Class of 1958. She worked for the City of Jacksonville, Offshore Power Systems, and retired after spending 30 years at Ring Power Corporation. She was an active member of Eastern Star.
Dorothy is predeceased by her parents, Mildred and Lee Eugene Johnson, and her granddaughter Megan Danver. She is survived by her sister Jean Perry (Jim), son Kelly McEvoy (Debbie), daughters Melodie Danver and LeeAnne Powell (Donny), as well as two nieces, two nephews, six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Saint Paul's By-The-Sea Episcopal Church, 465 11thAvenue N., Jacksonville Beach, on Thursday March 22nd at 11 am Private internment to follow at a later date.
