Emory Hysell

Emory Hysell, 85, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2025, after a long illness. in Jacksonville, FL.

Emory was born on August 6, 1939 in Huntington, WV, to Emory Hysell and Isabelle Reynolds. He served in the Army as a Military Police in Korea from 1963 to 1965

He was employed with Greyhound Bus Lines with over 4,500,000 miles and fifty-five years of safe driving.

Emory is survived by his wife Jacqueline (Jill) Hysell. They were married for sixty-four years and resided in Callahan. The couple has 2 children, Susan (Patrick) Elgin, of Callahan and Thomas (Kimberly) Hysell of Gainesville; loving grandchildren, Christopher Wilson, Austin (Amber) Wilson, Tyler Wilson, Kayla Hysell and Hunter (Mia) Elgin. Two great-grandsons, Jaxson and Atlas.

Emory enjoyed watching college and NFL football and NASCAR.
