George Frye

George Frye, son of Dock and Alma Frye, was born on July 4, 1949, in Knoxville, TN, and died peacefully on November 24, 2025. He is survived by his daughters Christina DeMello (Brian) and Cyndee Woolley; his grandchildren Kathrine DeMello (Mateo Valdez), Shaun DeMello, and Bridget Woolley; and his sister Andrea James. He was preceded in death by his son Spencer Frye (2021), sister Sandra Faye Fernandez (2011), brother David F. Howard (2002), and sisters Glenda and Linda Frye.

George was a graduate of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and Florida State University. He began his career as a Baptist Pastor, leading churches in Thorndale, TX, and Naples, FL. The last two decades of his career were dedicated to teaching with Collier County Schools and Florida Southwestern College.
