With profound sadness and heartfelt gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the passing of Guy André St. Phard, who departed this life on October 17, 2026, at the age of 70.

Born on June 9, 1956, in Port-de-Paix, Haiti, Guy was the beloved son of Vitelia Sanon and Marc St. Phard. He completed his primary education at Lycée Tertulien Guilbaud in Port-de-Paix, Haiti, and continued his high school education at Lycée Anténor Firmin in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. He later pursued higher education in nursing at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). His educational journey reflected his determination, discipline, and commitment to a profession devoted to caring for others.

Guy was known for having a heart of gold, balanced by a strong sense of conviction and determination. He believed in standing firm for what was right and was never afraid to speak his mind. He took great pride in his profession as a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN, BSN). His work in the Operating Room reflected his commitment to excellence, compassion, and the care of others.

Beyond nursing, Guy was an entrepreneur with a visionary spirit. He pursued several business ventures, including operating a laundromat and a chicken farm. Yet one of his greatest passions was improving healthcare access for the people of his beloved hometown. He worked tirelessly toward the dream of helping establish a hospital in Port-de-Paix, ensuring that those unable to seek or afford healthcare would have access to the medical services they needed. He was equally committed to educating others, generously sharing his medical knowledge and encouraging healthier lifestyles within his community. Guy believed that access to healthcare and health education went hand in hand, and he dedicated himself to both causes throughout his life.

A faithful Baptist, Guy's life was guided by his love for God and his desire to help others. His faith inspired his generosity, kindness, and unwavering commitment to serving his community.

From childhood through adulthood, Guy had a deep love for soccer. Whether playing, watching, or discussing the game, soccer brought him joy and connected him with others. As an adult, he also enjoyed staying informed about current events and politics, often engaging in spirited conversations about issues affecting his community and the world. He found happiness in music, fellowship, and acts of service. His willingness to lend a helping hand, offer advice, or support someone in need left a lasting impact on many lives.

Guy leaves behind a loving family who will cherish his memory forever. He is survived by his devoted sister, Antolina Remy; his beloved nieces, Sylvania Remy and Nathalie Remy; his nephew, Mecklenburg Remy; six great-nephews and one great-niece; as well as his eight children, grandchildren, extended family members, and countless friends whose lives were enriched by his presence.

Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we celebrate a man who dedicated his life to caring for others, uplifting his community, and living with courage, faith, and purpose. His legacy of compassion, determination, and service will continue to inspire all who knew and loved him.

"Well done, good and faithful servant."
Matthew 25:23
