Hayden Andrew Chalmers, 21, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on August 24, 2026. He was born on October 28, 2004, in San Diego, California. When Hayden was a toddler, his family relocated to Jacksonville to be closer to their extended family.
Hayden carried himself with an effortless charm and a quick, witty humor. He was as smart as he was handsome, and he had a natural gift for making people laugh. When he made a joke or found something truly funny, his entire face would change—his eyes would sparkle, and his great, unmistakable laugh would instantly lift the spirits of anyone lucky enough to share that moment with him. Vibrant and deeply expressive, Hayden had a wonderful smile and a playful spirit, yet he also held a tender heart and felt things deeply. Those who truly knew him understood there was always so much more to Hayden than met the eye.
From an early age, Hayden showed a wonderfully creative mind. One of his favorite childhood hobbies was building elaborate Lego creations. After effortlessly assembling a kit without ever looking at the instructions, he would break it down and use his imagination to build an entirely new masterpiece of his own design. That same artistic spark was reflected as he became a talented artist who loved spending time creating intricate sketches and drawings.
Some of Hayden’s happiest memories were made at his grandparents' home. He loved spending summers swimming in their backyard pool and enjoying family cookouts, creating unforgettable memories alongside his mom, sister, cousins, and extended family. Birthdays and holidays at Gram and Grandpa’s were always special, filled with awesome decorations, good food, shared fun, and the people he loved most. Born just days before his favorite holiday, Hayden absolutely loved the excitement, fun, and spirit of Halloween. He also thoroughly enjoyed all the lights and festivities of the Christmas season.
Hayden always looked forward to family vacations his mom planned to fun-filled places including Disney World, Legoland, and Adventure Landing. He especially cherished trips to the beach and the lake with his extended family, sharing good meals, outdoor activities, and time together—memories they will hold especially close forever.
With a variety of interests and a personality uniquely his own, Hayden also enjoyed skateboarding, playing basketball, reading comic books, listening to music, and going to the movies. He was always down for pizza, crab legs, or sushi!
Hayden was deeply loved by his family. He was a cherished son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. He will be remembered for his creativity, wonderful smile, witty sense of humor, and tender heart which made Hayden who he was. He will always be a beloved part of his family and will be forever missed.
A private celebration of life will be held by the family to honor Hayden's life.
