Helen Lucille "Lucy" Sirmons was born on February 21, 1928 in High Point, North Carolina. She was the youngest of four daughters to William Grady Owen and Nina Lee Owen. The family started studying the Bible with Jehovah's Witnesses when she was a young child. The entire family was baptized in the summer of 1941 when Lucy was 13 years old. She served Jehovah faithfully for 78 years and always made it a priority to teach others about him. She prayed to her father Jehovah regularly and called on him for help in her last days. She was a member of the Jacksonville Beach congregation for 51 years.

Lucy was a breast cancer survivor for 53 years. She loved animals and owned many cats and dogs in her lifetime. She loved music, played the piano, and taught some of her grandchildren how to play as well. She loved to cook, order jewelry off the jewelry channel and buy baby dolls.

She is survived by her three sons, Michael (Sarah), Rick (Carol), and Jamie, along with her eldest sister, Virginia Easley, 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Lucy was preceded in death by her loving husband, J.C. Sirmons, sisters Carolyn Spivey and Constance Tucker, and her daughter-in-law Teresa Ramirez.

While we will miss our beautiful and loving mother, grandmother, and sister, we know she is resting peacefully in Jehovah's memory. We look forward to seeing her soon when all is new on a paradise earth. ~ Revelation 21:1-5

Funeral services will be held at 3pm on Saturday, November 3rd at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses located at 11225 Ashley Melisse Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32225.
