Ivan Roberto Zamora, 75, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on September 26, 2026, at home surrounded by his wife and children. He was born in Nicaragua on May 25, 1951, to Cesar Zamora and Rosa Baca. He attended law school and was an attorney in Nicaragua. He lived in Miami with his wife and children for over 40 years. He was a long-time employee of Publix while in Miami.
Ivan and his wife, Aida Ortega, met when they were young in Nicaragua and have been married for 53 years. They lovingly raised their four children in Miami: Ivania Woodmore, Vanessa Newtson, Ivan N. Ivan was one of eight children and loved all his siblings: Helio, Oscar, Zandra, Edgar, Marta, Ninoska and Rene. His wife, children and grandchildren have been his greatest legacy. His main purpose has been to teach his grandchildren that family is everything. When happy, sad or in need of companionship, to find each other and celebrate the beauty in life.
