James Robert Cole III

*October 9, 1975 – July 14, 2025*

James Robert Cole III, 49, of Jacksonville, Florida—formerly of Logansport, Indiana—passed away on July 14, 2025. Born on October 9, 1975, in Logansport, James lived a life shaped by both hardship and hope. He was known for his deep love for his family, a generous heart, and a resilient spirit.

James was preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte Cole , Grandpa Wally and Grandma Margaret Walter’s whose care and strength left a lasting impact on his life, and by his father, James Cole the Second. He also mourned the loss of his beloved son, whose memory remained close to his heart always.

He is survived by his two daughters Victoria and Brooke, and two grandchildren. He also leaves behind his former wife, Lisa Bittof. His brothers Matthew and Michael Hankins, His sister Charmel Seto. As well as, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

James will be deeply missed by all who knew him—those who saw both his struggles and his strengths, and loved him regardless of what they might’ve been. A private memorial will be held at a later date to celebrate his life.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages everyone to check in on the people they care about, offer forgiveness when they can, and be present for their loved ones.
