James Joseph Kuwik

James Joseph Kuwik was a caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He sadly left us on Tuesday, April 4th, 2023 in Jacksonville, Florida.
Jim was born to Harry and Katherine Kuwik in Dunkirk, New York on February 17th, 1947. He spent his childhood and adolescence in Dunkirk, where he grew a passion for cars, working on them with his father frequently. This passion for mechanics grew into a lifelong successful career in aviation, which brought him to Cleveland, Ohio, where he met his wife, Annette. Together, they had two daughters, Nicole and Jaclyn. His career eventually brought the family to Florida, where he retired to spend his latter years, enjoying time with his grandchildren.
He remained fond of hot-rods and airplanes his entire life. Jim took pride in maintaining a meticulous landscape at his homes over the years. He was an avid Buffalo Bills and New York Yankees fan and loved enjoying good food and wine with loved ones.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Annette Kuwik, brother, Ken Kuwik and sister-in-law, Sharon Kuwik, sister-in-law, Johanna Kuwik, daughter and son in law, Nicole and Nick Colichio, and daughter and son in law, Jaclyn and David Buttacavoli, and two grandchildren.
He is preceded in passing by parents, Harry and Katherine Kuwik, and brother, Jack Kuwik.
Jim was known for his unique personality and kind heart, and he will be truly missed and fondly remembered.
