Janet Holdman, 78, of Jacksonville, Florida, formerly of Leadwood, MO passed away Thursday, October 19, 2022 peacefully in her home. She was born on March 26, 1944, in Bonne Terre, MO to the late Harold Johnson and Dorothy (Gilliam) Johnson. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband James (Jimmy) Holdman, her eldest sister Lucy Hale, and in-laws Eugene and Gertrude Holdman.

Janet was a devoted Christian her entire life. She served God through countless ministries while on this earth, too numerous to name here. However, she particularly cherished her stewardship as a DOT (department of tidiness) at CrossRoad UMC in Jacksonville, FL and as a member of Daughters of The King at Christ Church in St. Marys, GA. Janet enjoyed retirement, traveling with her husband, and grandchildren. She was honored to be called "Gammy," by her grandchildren and great-grandchild. She was inspired in many ways by her own relationship with her grandma Belle Gilliam, who she greatly loved and admired. Janet was an advocate for U.S Veterans and a Navy wife to her husband Jim, who proudly served his country for 22 years. Both Janet and Jimmy were proud Purple Pups class of 1962.

Janet is survived by their cherished children Jodi Holdman (wife Monica), Jayme Holdman (wife Tammy), and Josh Holdman (wife Jen). Her grandchildren Jenn Carter (fiance Gwen), Chandler Wells, Logan Wells, and great-grandchild Everett Eldon Piffer. She is also survived by her sister Judy Qualls and brothers in law Russell Qualls and Fred Hale.
