Jason Lee Braddock, age 48, passed away unexpectedly on January 6, 2025. His last memories were of a wonderful weekend in the snowy mountains with his family and the knowledge that he was truly loved.

Jason was born August 16, 1976, in Charleston, SC. He attended Bishop England High School before moving to Jacksonville in 1995, where he earned a degree in Graphic Design from Florida State College at Jacksonville. His talent in that area landed him many interesting jobs, including his last role as a marketing manager.

Jason was always kind, respectful, and known for his curious and studious nature, earning him the affectionate nickname, "I only got a 99?" from his classmates. As a big brother, he was a guiding light to his sister Jennifer, always including her in his adventures when they were young.

He was also a passionate athlete, an avid runner and cyclist who inspired others through his involvement in charitable causes. He pedaled 150 miles each year in the Bike MS Cycle to the Shore fundraiser with Team Left Hand, honoring his sister who lives with multiple sclerosis. He was also a longtime participant in the DONNA Marathon to raise funds for breast cancer research and took part in numerous other charitable cycling and running events.

Jason's warmth and enthusiasm for life earned him countless friends from all walks of life. He was someone who made everyone feel welcome and valued, and his friendships were built on laughter, empathy, and mutual support. He had an exceptional ability to lift up those around him and make them feel like they belonged. Jason was a remarkable person whose presence could fill any room. He was a fun-loving, dedicated friend who was gregarious and larger than life. His adventurous spirit led him to embrace every opportunity for new experiences, and he was always the life of the party. Jason was a foodie who loved discovering new cuisines and sharing meals with friends and family. His love of music extended far beyond just listening-he was a talented musician and artist who was deeply involved in Jacksonville's vibrant music scene. He was a huge part of the Jacksonville community, known not just for his talents but also for his generosity, kindness, and inclusivity.

Jason's sense of humor was unforgettable-his love of memes and his sharp, sarcastic wit could brighten anyone's day. His laugh was so big, bold, and contagious, a sound that none of us will forget.

But above all else, he was a devoted father. His daughter, Harper, was the absolute center of his world, and he was always down for silly adventures with her, from building forts to spontaneous dance parties. Jason's love for Harper was unmatched-he was her biggest cheerleader and a constant source of joy and comfort. He embraced every aspect of fatherhood with open arms, making every moment with her unforgettable. Harper adored Jason. She inherited his creativity, sense of humor, and silly spirit. Though her heart is broken, she will carry forward his legacy of love, laughter, and kindness.

He will be deeply missed by his parenting partner, Jennifer Lofberg of Jacksonville, FL; his beautiful daughter, Harper Rose Lofberg Braddock of Jacksonville, FL; his parents, Derry and Christine Braddock of Jacksonville, FL; his sister, Jennifer Diane Braddock of Atlanta, GA; and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Tina DiFiglio, Marguerite Braddock, Jerry and Valerie Braddock; an uncle, Tom DiFiglio; and a cousin, Hannah Christine Braddock.

Jason's family is profoundly grateful for the heroic efforts of the paramedics and the Memorial Hospital team who worked tirelessly to keep him alive long enough for his parents to be by his side as he took his final breath.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to National Multiple Sclerosis Society one of Jason's favorite charities among the many he supported.

Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life from 7 PM-9 PM on Friday, Jan. 17, at South Jacksonville Presbyterian Church, 2137 Hendricks Ave., Jacksonville, FL 32207.
