Jeffery Paul Gilyard (56), born in Jacksonville, FL on February 1st, 1967, and passed away on July 6th, 2023. He graduated from Wolfson High School. All will say he was laughter, a giver, and a child at heart. His departure leaves an irreplaceable void in the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know him.

No visit to Jacksonville was complete without his cherished traditions - a stop at Krystal's or Waffle House, a trip to the movies, or going on a mini adventure to capture the perfect photograph. Any time you rode with Jeffery, his appreciation for music took you on a musical adventure to the sounds of Country, Rap, Reggaeton, R&B, Gospel, or Rock within minutes.
His love for the Miami Heat was evident the way he proudly wore his Miami Heat jersey in most of his pictures. With his camera in hand, he had an extraordinary talent for capturing the world's beauty through his photography.

When it came to his new toys, he was the biggest kid full of excitement. Whether it was the latest technology, a new vehicle, top-notch camera, or a scooter that went over 60 MPH, he could not contain his enthusiasm in sharing and demonstrating their features.
He was effortlessly a fun and funny person to be around every day. Jeffery's magnetic and comedic presence not only entertained his family and friends but also fostered a bond built on shared laughter and unforgettable moments.

Jeffery is predeceased by his son Demetrius Gilyard; He is survived by his parents Bobbie & Soloman Odom; his brothers, Gregory Odom (Angel) & Damian Odom (Nicole); his children, Elesia King, Kellie Gilyard, Taylor Gilyard, Alex Evans & Jordan Evans; his grandchildren, Chosen, Vhohn, Jordan, Zayden, Tyree & Mason; his Great Aunt Aletha Moore, his aunts: Linda & Carol Gilyard; his cousins Torr Gilyard (Niemat), Derek Gilyard & Shala Gilyard; and many other family and friends whom he loved and cared for dearly.
While we mourn the loss of Jeffery, let us also celebrate the remarkable life he lived, the smiles he brought to those around him, the beauty he captured through his lens, and the childlike spirit that brought light into our lives.

In his honor, may we carry forward his legacy by giving without expecting anything in return, embracing life with humor, creativity, and the child within us.
