Josette Jean-Francois

Josette was born on September 23, 1953, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, where she was also raised. She was the beloved daughter of Ovane Paul, and she carried with her a deep love for her homeland, culture, and family throughout her life.

 On May 4, 1974, Josette married the love of her life, Gustave Jean-Francois, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Their union spanned 52 years and was a testament to enduring love, devotion, and partnership. 

Josette was a devoted wife, a nurturing mother, and a proud grandmother. She found her greatest joy in her family and was known for her warmth, strength, and quiet grace. Her presence brought comfort and love to all who knew her. 

She was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Bernadette Pierre, and her parents. 

Josette leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband, Gustave Jean-Francois; her loving children, Gregory Jean Francois, Floraine Villarson, and Maxime Jean Francois; and her treasured grandchildren, Bryan, Moriah, Nathaniel, and Sarah, along with extended family and friends whose lives she touched deeply. 

Visitation will be held on February 14, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Baptist Church 800 Hammond Blvd Jacksonville, FL 32221. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. at the same location. Interment will take place at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens on February 14, 2026. Josette Paul Jean-Francois will be remembered for her loving heart, her unwavering dedication to her family, and the legacy of love she leaves behind.
