Judith Gail Westmoreland Sparks, lovingly known as “Nana Judy,” was born on March 2, 1944, in Adel, Georgia. She entered her Heavenly home on July 18, 2026, at the age of 82, surrounded by her loving family.

Judy dedicated many years of her life to serving children as the cafeteria manager at Dover Elementary and tutored children on the side.

She was a member of Christian Family Chapel in Jacksonville, Florida, where her faith in God and love for others were evident in the way she lived.

Nana Judy loved the simple joys in life. She enjoyed fishing, taking her dog, Cooper, on walks, bowling with her daughter, eating at Zaxby’s, cooking for those she loved (especially her famous fried potatoes) shopping online, gift giving, and riding around with Nicci.

She had a generous heart and was always thinking of others. Whenever she found something on sale, she rarely bought just one because she always believed someone else might need it. Helping others wasn’t just something she did; it was simply who she was.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Audrey and Robert Westmoreland; her children, Lynn Herring, Randy Little, and Terry Little; her grandson, Jeffrey Little; and all her siblings.

She is survived by her beloved daughter, Dianna Brinson; her sister, Edris Lawson; her brother, Alan Westmoreland; her grandchildren, Anthony and Andrew Little, Dwayne Brinson, Robert (Rachel) Brinson, Ryan (Kaleigh) Brinson, Sean Herring, and Daniel Herring; and her great-grandchildren, Anna, AJ, Tyler, Bailey, Madison, Makenzi, Kierstyn, Brooke, Peyton, Payton, Noah, Zoey, and Kai.

She shared a special bond with Joel and Tina Ashton and their son, Ethan; Ashley and Brad Posey and their daughter, Riley; her grandson’s fiancée, Ashley Davi; Scott and Sandy Salerno; and many other family members, neighbors, and friends. Each held a special place in her heart and was deeply loved.

To know Nana Judy was to love her. She was one of the sweetest, most selfless people you could ever meet. She spent her life thinking of others, always putting their needs before her own and making everyone feel loved. Her absence leaves a space that can never be filled, and life will never be the same without her. While our hearts ache, we are forever grateful for the love, kindness, and memories she gave us. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to your local children’s hospital in Judy’s memory. She spent years collecting thousands of soda can tabs to help support sick children.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Judy’s life on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Christian Family Chapel, 10365 Old St. Augustine Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32257. A luncheon will be graciously provided by Christian Family Chapel immediately following the service. The family welcomes all who attend to join them.
