Karen Macy Ruby, a beautiful soul at the age of 78, has passed away and joined her beloved husband, Wayne, in the realm of eternal bliss on May 6, 2025, in Jacksonville Florida.
Throughout her time as a military wife and line wife, she resided in various locations, including Arkansas, Texas, and the Tampa area. However, Jacksonville holds a special place as her birthplace and childhood home. Family was of utmost importance to her, and she cherished the opportunity to participate in family events and help contribute to their significance.
Karen's unwavering kindness and compassionate spirit left an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of meeting her. her love for her family and friends was boundless, and her heart was always open to those in need.
Karen is survived by her children, Michael Ruby (Cinda), Lisa Conley (Chris), and David Ruby (Darcy). She was also blessed with grandchildren Austin, Hannah, Collin, Kyle, Brittany, Clayton, Amelia, Brennan, and Riley. Her siblings include Steve (Brenda), Shelly, Julie, Jan, and Betty. Additionally, she is survived by her in-laws, Ray (Sharon), Jerry (Ann), Barbara, and Steve. And many nieces and nephews.
Karen is preceded in death by her spouse, Wayne Ruby, her mother, Joyce Allwood (Jack), her father, Richard Macy, her brother John Allwood and her brother-in-law, Jack (Mary).
A visitation will be held for Karen Ruby at 10am on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, followed by an 11am funeral service at Naugle Funeral Home.
Burial will be held on May 13, 2025 at 1 pm at Jacksonville National Cemetery, located at 4083 Lannie Rd Jacksonville, FL 32218.
Memorial donations can be made in Karen's name to American Cancer Society or Vitas Healthcare Hospice.
