Kathryn S. Duncan passed peacefully March 7, 2022. Now she is free and will see God.
Kathy was born in Big Stone Gap, VA on August 12, 1949. She lived there through her High School years and then attended the University of Tennessee. After college she lived and worked for several years in Big Stone Gap before moving to Jacksonville, FL in 1976. She has been a resident of Jacksonville since that time. She worked in the financial services industry until she retired in 2001. The last 20 years of her career she spent at Merrill Lynch.
Kathy loved to travel. She loved music and sports. Especially football and golf.
She is survived by her husband Dale. Her brother David Shupe. Father-in law George Duncan. Sister-in-law Lyn Moon (Perry). Three nieces, Ashley Lowe (Jason), Lindsey Lawson (Jason) and Katie Shupe. Six grand nieces
and nephews. Savannah Lowe, Seth Lowe, Summer Lowe, Ollie Lawson, Amos Lawson and Salem Lawson.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday at George Brothers Funeral Service. Burial will be at Guilford Memorial Park in Greensboro, NC.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Hospice & Palliative Care, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville FL 32257
