Kenneth Bradford Profile Photo
LCDR (Ret) Ken "Cherry" Bradford passed away peacefully early Saturday morning, with his wife by his side. Ken began his career as a machinist mate on the USS Pennsylvania. While underway, he completed his BA degree. Upon graduation, Ken was accepted into OCS. Thus began his career as an officer, an instructor and an aviator. He was passionate about flying and also cared deeply for those under his command. During Operation Enduring Freedom Ken had numerous deployments to the Middle East. Jen and the kids showered him with a hero's welcome whenever he returned. Upon retirement, Ken continued supporting the USN, on the civilian side, as Air Ops for NAS Mayport

Ken loved his wife and children, plus the numerous pets that Jen brought into the family. He truly enjoyed creating memories in the pool with his family and friends.

Ken is survived by his wife Jen, his daughter Allison, and his son, Kenny.

He is also survived by his sister, Karen(Scott) Gibson, his brother, Larry(Dana) Bradford and his brother, Rob(Becky) Bradford.

He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Alice, his father, Bud, and his brother, Frank.

When Ken was not in uniform, you would find him in flip-flops, shorts and a Hawaiian shirt, Loud. Just like him.

He will be greatly missed by all family and friends.
