Mrs. Linnie Collins, 70, of Winona, passed away on Tuesday January 17, 2023, in Jacksonville FL after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born in Winona Ms, on May 27th, 1952 to the late John Preston and Cammie Lorean Thompson Parker.


Mrs. Collins worked for Angelica Corporation for many years as a seamstress. She also worked in the retail industry. She enjoyed sewing, making arts and crafts, and decorating and painting them. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.


In addition to her parents, Mrs. Collins was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, James Michael Collins; brothers Eugene Parker, Edward Parker, and Sidney Parker; sisters Lorean Hasie, Gladys Eidson, Averdean Bell and 8 half siblings; Brooks Parker, John Phillips Parker, Jim Parker, Roy Lee Parker, J.P. Junior Parker, Juanita Parker, Ollie Parker, and Katie Parker.

Mrs. Collins is survived by her son Michael Shannon (Casey) Collins of Richmond Hill GA; daughters Stacey (Andy) Foster of Wesley Chapel FL, and Tonya (Joshua) Keeton of Callahan FL.; brothers John "Bud" Parker, Wayne Parker, and Ray Parker; sisters Sue Napolitano, and Inez Pickens. Grandchildren; Melissa, Brooke and Crew Collins; Andrew, Lakin and Danica Foster; Caleb, Abigail, Olivia and Isabelle Keeton and a host of nieces and nephews.


A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
