Lucinda Ann Bartz, born on April 6, 1942, in Crystal Lake, Illinois, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2026, at the age of 84. She attended Crystal Lake High School and graduated in 1960. Lucinda dedicated her career as an Administrative Assistant within the medical field, where her kindness and dedication made a lasting impact on those she worked with.


She enjoyed reading, playing cards, but most of all she loved to bake. She was known to her friends as the bread and cookie lady. Making cookies with her grandkids was one of her favorite things to do.

She is survived by her brother, Joe Bartz, her loving children, daughter Loretta Sears, daughter Katheryn Lima, and son Thomas Popola, and her grandchildren Anthony Lima, Joseph Lima, Megan Popola, and Maureen Sears. Lucinda's family and friends remember her as a strong, compassionate woman who brought joy to everyone around her.

Lucinda was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer Bartz and Loretta Smith, her sons, Anthony Popola, John Popola.


A visitation will be held at Naugle Funeral Home & Cremation Services on July 17, 2026, at 5:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or your favorite charity.


Lucinda's memory will be cherished, and her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
