Margaret Jackson Carswell

Margaret J. Carswell died on January 20, 2023 after a long fight with leukemia.
Margaret was born on December 27, 1945 in Nashua, New Hampshire and has
lived in Jacksonville, FL since 1948. Margaret is survived by her husband John
Carswell, daughter, Jennifer (Keith) Littrell and two step-daughters, Mary
Beth (Justin) Clark and Christy (Robb) Rutland, two sisters Sharon (Lenox)
King, and Joyce Salter; three grandchildren, Amanda, Matthew and Morgan
Littrell and seven step-grandchildren, Jonah, Jack, Morgan and Aubrey Clark,
Rylee, Chase and Addison Rutland.

Margaret graduated from Robert E. Lee High School, class of 64', and received
her bachelor's degree from Jacksonville University, class of 68'. She was a
member of the Junior Women's Club of Jacksonville and a lifetime member of
the Junior League of Jacksonville. She was an avid tennis player, playing for
the Florida Yacht Club. She was a longtime member of Mandarin
Presbyterian Church where she enjoyed serving others through the Daily
Bread Food Pantry.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00AM Saturday, March 4, 2023 at
Mandarin Presbyterian Church, 2501 Loretto Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32223 with
Pastor Jeff Arnold from Mandarin Presbyterian Church officiating. In lieu of
flowers, please make your donation to Community Hospice & Palliative Care
of Jacksonville.
