Born in Barbourville, KY on September 8, 1947; died peacefully in her sleep on
January 7, 2021.
Marti lived in Florida for 42 years, over 30 of which she spent as a beloved teacher
at Southside United Methodist Preschool. On January 1 st of 2021, Marti celebrated
her 50 th wedding anniversary.
Marti is survived by her loving and devoted husband Alan; her children Brandi
(Nestor), Lee (Christina), and Chris; and by her grandchildren: Alex, Sol, Jackson,
and Harvest; her brother Doug (Darla), and a host of nieces and nephews living
across the United States.
Marti loved her family, her happiest moments in life came when she had family
gathered around her. She will be remembered for her laughter, her larger than life
stories, and her potatoes au gratin, but mostly for her immense heart.
