Maria Deniz, 69, passed away on September 10, 2026, at her home in Jacksonville, FL.

Maria Deniz was born on November 2, 1956, in Bogota, Colombia, to Telesforo Pinzon and Carlota Piñeros. She moved to the United States in 2000 with her two sons.

Maria met and married Roberto Deniz Jr. on June 11, 2010, in the courthouse. Maria had 2 children, her beloved sons Leonardo Castro Pinzon and Richard Castro Pinzon.

Maria graduated from high school in Colombia, where she became an executive secretary. After she moved to America, she earned a CNA certification. She started her second career as an Emergency Room Technician and went on to work for Ascension St. Vincent's for many years.

Maria's hobbies were singing, playing jokes on others, helping people, especially the sick and the poor, her profession, and sharing her love with her family and others.
Memorable moments included the birth of her two sons, learning English, and giving her all each and every time she was called. Another memorable moment was finding her Other half on a Christian Single website and being together ❤️ with the person who made her dreams come true and being together for 18 years

Maria is survived by Roberto Miguel Deniz Jr - husband, Richard Castro Pinzon -son, Aagelos Leonardo Castro Pinzon- grandson. Pablo Eliaz Pinzon Piñeros - brother, Juan Pinzon Piñeros - brother, Cristina Pinzon Piñeros - sister, Luz Elena Pinzon Piñeros - niece, Jesus Antonio Pinzon Piñeros - nephew.

Maria is preceded in death by Telesforo Pinzon - father, Carlota Pinzon Piñeros - mother, Leonardo Castro Pinzon-son, Amparo Pinzon Pineros-sister, Elenita Pinzon Pineros- Sister

The service for Mrs. Maria Deniz will be held on October 10th, at 11:30 at Naugle Funeral Home 1203 Hendricks Ave. Jacksonville FL 32207.
