Mark Douglas Stultz passed peacefully on August 19th, 2026 in Jacksonville, FL surrounded by his loved ones. Originally born in Dayton, OH, Mark and his family moved to Flint, Michigan in 1960. He graduated Flint Southwestern Highschool in 1973 and continued his education with the University of Michigan Flint.

Mark dedicated his life to helping others, especially children. He worked in the Foster Care System and acted as an expert witness in Family Court and later as a case-worker at the Floyd J. McCree Building where he would meet his wife, Darlene. They married May 11th, 1996 and welcomed their daughter, Alison, that September. They were dedicated golfers and Mark and Darlene were longtime members of their Flint Elks County Club, their second home. They made countless friends on the Flint Elks golf course and participated in multiple tournaments, making long lasting memories in both the snow and rain.

He was a proud historian and musician, and a sports fanatic for his entire life. After he moved to Jacksonville, FL, he spent much of his time outside enjoying the warm weather as well as watching the Jumbo Shrimp and supporting Jax’s local hockey team, the Icemen.

Everyone will deeply miss Mark’s humor, mischievous smile, wise words and guidance, and his many, many stories. We hope that everyone can join us for Mark’s Celebration of Life in both Florida and in Michigan. Please join us on September 26th from 10:00 – 2:00 pm at the Casa Marina in Jacksonville, FL and on October 27th from 10:00 – 2:00 pm at the Flint Elks in Grand Blanc, MI to celebrate the life and memories of Mark Stultz.

Mark is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Sisgbee Stultz Jr. and Beverly Stultz (MacLean), his older sister Laura Stultz, his infant brother Matthew Stultz, and his wife Darlene Stultz.

He is survived by his beloved daughter Alison Stultz, his son-in-law Andrew Stultz (Hill), his brother Steven Stultz and his wife Barbara, his younger sister Susan Snavely (Stultz) and her husband Charles Snavely, and his cherished nieces, nephews, and grand-nephews. He is dearly missed by his grand-dogs, Winter and Scout.
