Martha Suzanne Askins died on August 21, 2026.

Born to the parents of Robbie and Helen Askins. Preceeded in death

aby her parents and brother Robert William Askins. Survived by sister Mary Helen Askins of Triangle Virginia.

After graduating from Limestone College Suzanne accepted teaching positions in Atlanta, Georgia with the majority of her career in Jacksonville Florida. She taught for 39 years. As a 3rd grade teacher she assured that every student in her classes developed a love of reading. She loved animals, especially dogs, flowers and her beloved friends Laura Moody, Joan Cozart, Linda Theede and Anne Yon and the group called the yayas. Thanks for all the help and love in later years of Luanne Bennett, Bonnie Laster and Pat Wiseman.

Suzanne believed her greatest gift to society was her her contribution to the education of many young students over the many long years of her teaching career.

She will be entombed at the Lake City Memorial Park in the family plot.
