Mary Alice Allen

Mary Alice Allen, age 87, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2026, in Jacksonville, Florida, under hospice care.

Born on March 23, 1939, in DuBois, Pennsylvania, Mary Alice was united in marriage to her husband, Tom, and together they built a life focused on family and home. She took great pride in creating a warm and welcoming home and was happiest when surrounded by those she loved most. Being a grandmother brought her immense joy, and she treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mary Alice was a devoted sports mom and Girl Scout leader, always giving her time and heart to support and uplift children - whether from the sidelines of a game or while guiding young girls to grow in confidence and create lasting memories.

She is survived by her children: Steve Allen and his wife Susan; Denise Allen; and Jennifer Allen; and her daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Allen.

She was a loving grandmother to Ashley Graham (Craig), Kyle Allen, Shawn Allen (Colleen), Katie Voss (Alex), and Maura Allen; and a proud great-grandmother to Aidan, Oliver, Beau, Amelia, Andrew, Kennedy, and Karter.

She is also survived by her siblings: Peggy Smiley (Patrick) and Michael Hoskavich, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Mary Alice was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tom Allen Sr.; her son, Tom Allen Jr.; and her parents, Steven and Margaret Hoskavich.

A celebration of Mary Alice's wonderful life will be held at a later date. The family will announce details of a memorial service where friends and loved ones may gather to honor and celebrate her legacy.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to hospice in her memory.
