Mellie Virginia Wahlstrom

Mellie Virginia Herring Wahlstrom, 79, a Jacksonville native, passed away on September 2, 2022. She was the first born of Theodore and Alice O'Neal Herring. She is survived by her children J.Michael (Cindy) Wahlstrom, Jennifer Dupriest (Jay), and Heather Williams (Jase). Grandchildren Numia and Magnus Wahlstrom, Marissa and Rebecca Dupriest, Luke and Eliza Williams. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Cheryl Herring, and her brothers, Spencer and Randall Herring. Mellie graduated from Andrew Jackson High School 1960. She served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Western States Mission 1965-1966. Mellie served in multiple callings in Church, but always enjoying teaching the most, whether children, teenagers or adults. She was employed in the banking, mortgage, and insurance industries.


Visitation will be Wednesday, September 7th from 5-7pm, at Naugle Funeral Home, 1203 Hendricks Ave, Jacksonville, FL 32207.
The funeral will be Thursday, September 8th at 10am, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 4087 Hendricks Ave, Jacksonville, FL. Interment will be in the Statenville Cemetery, Statenville, GA.
