Merrill "Tiny" Corbitt
Merrill "Tiny" Corbitt passed away on October 4, 2022. Tiny was born
January 24, 1955 in Douglas, Georgia. He had been a resident of
Jacksonville for 50 years.
Tiny worked for CSX Railroad for 20 years. He then went to work
selling cars and found the position he truly loved. He loved people
and to talk. He was in his element selling cars and was one of the top
salesmen in the southeast. He worked for Duval Ford, Coggin
Corporation and Keith Pierson Toyota. He had a gift for sales and
excelled in it. Tiny was one of a kind!!
Tiny was preceded in death by his father, Marshall John Corbitt his
mother, Marie Jeanne Coderre and his brother Marshall Corbitt Jr.
Tiny is survived by his wife of 43 years, Louise Minchew Corbitt. One
Daughter Melissa Meeks (Dale), one son, Merrill J. Corbitt, two
stepdaughters, Tonja Coombs (Paul) and Tara Johnson (Bryan)and
two stepsons, Richard Baas (Laura) and Hillbilly Baas. Four Sisters,
Marianne King (Richard), Marilynn Perkins, Melanie Outlaw Marguerite
DeFoe and one brother, Martin Corbitt. Six grandchildren and several
nieces and nephews.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Tiny at
11am
