In Loving Memory of Nilsa Huertas
With profound sadness and immeasurable love, we announce the passing of our beloved Nilsa Huertas, who entered into eternal rest on July 16, 2026, at 8:39 p.m.
Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Nilsa was the cherished daughter of Dolores Arriaga and Pablo Vega. She later made her home in Yonkers, New York, where she built a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering dedication to those around her.
For more than 30 years, Nilsa worked as a devoted legal secretary alongside the same attorney in New York. She was admired for her professionalism, loyalty, integrity, and tireless work ethic.
Nilsa was a true warrior. She faced life's greatest challenges with extraordinary courage, grace, and determination, never allowing adversity to diminish her kindness or her generous spirit. Her beautiful smile was infectious, her laughter could light up any room, and her compassionate heart touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. She had a remarkable gift for making others feel welcomed, loved, and important.
She leaves behind a family who will forever treasure her memory: her devoted wife, Ivette Blanco; her beloved son, David Lemus; her cherished stepson, Anthony Blanco; and her three precious grandchildren, who brought endless joy to her life. She is also survived by her three brothers, her two beloved nieces and their children, all of whom loved her dearly and will carry her memory in their hearts forever.
Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that Nilsa's journey of pain has ended and that she now rests in the loving arms of our Lord. Her legacy of strength, compassion, laughter, and unconditional love will continue to inspire all who knew her.
She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten. Until we meet again.
