Pamela (Pam) Marie Whitlock Smith, 73, of Spartanburg, South Carolina, went home to be with our Lord on July 15, 2026 in Jacksonville, Florida.
Born in Spartanburg to Foy and Sarah Whitlock, Pam grew up with a passion for art, especially painting. She is remembered as being kind and generous, since she was a girl. She spent 30 years working at Duke Electric and was the first female meter reader in South Carolina. She earned a degree from Spartanburg Community College.
Outside of work, Pam was certified in 7 different mediums of painting and taught acrylic painting most recently at A.C Moore. She was also was a Fine Art America Artist (https://fineartamerica.com/art/pamela+whitlock). She was an inspiration to many to pursue their creative dreams.
Pam is survived by her husband, Doug; stepchildren Heather, Ashley, and Meagan; siblings Judith and Tom McGrath, Kim and Antionette Whitlock, Eric and Sarah Whitlock; and 2 step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Foy and Sarah, her parents.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday August 22nd at Naugle Funeral Home. Family and Friends are welcome at 10:00am. The service will start at 11:00am.
