In Loving Memory of
Patrick Angelo Paleo
January 26, 1941 - April 15, 2026
Proud Veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Former delegate for the Laborer’s International Union of North America, Local 22, in Boston, Massachusetts.
Son of Patrick John Paleo of Woburn, MA, who was himself a fallen veteran killed in action during WWII and honored with both a dedication at the Shamrock Elementary School in Woburn, MA where both he and he son were born, and with a plaque at the Paul Revere Mall (The Prado) in the North End of Boston, MA.
Son of Phyllis T. Paleo of the Balesterie family whose own father largely contributed to the building of the Saint Leonard’s Peace Garden in Boston’s North End, at the corner of Prince Street and Hanover Street. Patrick was raised in the North End alongside his younger brother Robert and sister Angela (deceased).
Patrick is survived by his wife, Caryl A. Paleo (Berlandi) and his three children Tracey Angela, Patrick Joseph, and Christopher Scott. Also his younger brother Robert.
A dedicated father, loyal friend, and loving husband, Patrick was a hardworking, steadfast member of his local community. For his 37 year career as a laborer, Patrick worked primarily with J.F. White Contracting Company, coordinating and overseeing many of the city of Boston’s transformative changes, such as the reconstruction of the MBTA, the Deer Island Waste Water Treatment Plant and the Big Dig.
Patrick was respected as a man who stood up for the workers of many of Boston’s local communities and who opened a path to union membership for anyone in need and everyone who asked.
“He always answered the call.”
