Paul Fredrick Jordan passed away October 24, 2025 at age 67, from complications due to a stroke. He died at St. Vincents Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. The same hospital where he was born on April 9, 1958.

Fred lived in the Carolina's off and on but spent most of his life in Jacksonville, the city that he cherished.

Fred learned at an early age to work hard. His first job in high school, was cleaning the pet cages at a veterinarian 's office in Charlotte, NC. This was the beginning of his love for animals and his appreciation for hard work. Over the years Fred rescued owls, squirrels, dogs and many cats.

In 1976 Fred moved back to Jacksonville, Florida, to be with his Dad; Ray Jordan and uncle "Monsignor" Harold Jordan.

Later that year, Ray Jordan married Marianne Ferlisi Ray and Fred joined our family. of Richard, Freddie, Chris & Mary.

With a Fred already in the family, he became "Big Fred".

After finishing high school, Big Fred worked at Indusco in the warehouse. This hard, physical work taught him well...get into sales!

Fred was a natural salesman! He excelled, particularly within the heavy equipment industry. Over the years, he was employed by Ditch Witch, Hertz Equipment and Duval Equipment.

Fred was known for his exceptional sales skills, leading the nation in Ditch Witch sales by securing the prestigious Bell South contract for underground drilling equipment, which spanned nine states. It was the largest order in the history of Ditch Witch.

In his position, many sales records were set, and he left an indelible mark on his colleagues in the Heavy Equipment industry. He worked in this industry for many years until he joined Richard in 2010, and became integral in Sales at our family business, Jordan International. Fred loved all the crew at the warehouse, especially Maggi, Adam's shop dog. Fred kept treats in his desk for her.

As an avid bass fisherman and outdoorsman, Fred spent many joyful days fishing across North Florida. His proudest accomplishment was landing a 10lb bass from the St. Johns River, which hung in his office. His passion for fishing and hunting represented his love for the outdoors and he shared countless memorable moments with family and friends. Fred enjoyed fishing the rivers and lakes. His favorites included the Rodman reservoir, Lake Orange, and Lake Lochloosa.

Fred loved the Florida Gators, Jacksonville Jaguars but was a bigger fan of Dale Earnhardt! He was a Nascar superfan!

Fred attended many races and actually drove on the Charlotte speedway.

Fred retired in October 2021 and spent his last 2 years, biking to the beach, searching for sharks teeth and lounging by the condo pool.
