Rachinda Lee Gideon

Rachinda Lee Gideon, 49, of Jacksonville, passed away on February 23, 2026. Born on February 26, 1977, in Rochester, Massachusetts, she was the beloved daughter of Nancy Corey and Larry Lee Gideon. Rachinda will be remembered for her humor, her strength, and the love she shared so freely with those around her. Her laughter could brighten even the darkest days, and her resilience inspired everyone who knew her. 

She is survived by her devoted husband, Matthew Brown; her son, Ryan Lee Carter; and her daughters, Ryia Leean Carter, Harmonie Lee Hunt, and Nancy Leslie Ann Brown. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nancy Corey and Larry Lee Gideon. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations or thoughtful gestures of support. 

A memorial service will be held on March 5 at 11:00 a.m. at Rolling Hills Baptist Church, 840 Permento Avenue, Jacksonville, Florida 32221. Though deeply missed, Rachinda’s love and legacy will live on in the hearts of her husband, children, and all who knew and loved her. She was a devoted wife, a proud and loving mother, and a loyal friend whose presence brought comfort and joy to many. Her family was her greatest accomplishment and her deepest pride. The memories she created, the lessons she shared, and the unconditional love she gave will continue to guide and uplift those she leaves behind. Her spirit will forever remain a part of the lives she touched.
