Roger W Batten

Roger Walton Batten, of Jacksonville, Florida, age 79, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2025 at 5:00 am with the love of his life for 23 years, Gina Pitts, by his side.

He was preceded in death by his father, Claude Ernest Batten; mother, Margaret Flora Griffis Batten; daughter, Lorie Ann Batten Thornhill; brother, Dennis Batten; and sister, Lavern Painter.

He is survived by his brother, Thomas Batten; two granddaughters, Joanna Garrett and Rhiannon Brooks; seven great-grandchildren; and many close friends and family with whom he shared his life.

Roger was a master electrician who worked hard every day of his life. He shared Jesus, the Bible, and his personal testimony, which went on to touch many lives. We rest in the promise of knowing that Roger is now in his forever home, resting in the arms of Jesus.

Well done, my good and faithful servant.
