Sally Ann Day, born June 7, 1953, in Abington, Pennsylvania, passed peacefully on May 4, 2026, in Jacksonville, Florida, surrounded by loved ones against the backdrop of a beautiful sunset. She lived a life marked by laughter, service, compassion, and devotion to family and friends.

Sally proudly served nearly four years in the United States Navy, attaining the rank of AK3 Petty Officer. During her service, she met the love of her life, Conrad Raymond Day, and the two were married in Honolulu, Hawaii. Together they built a life rooted in love, resilience, and adventure while serving both country and family. In 1977, they welcomed their only son, Christopher Michael Day.

As a devoted Navy wife, Sally cared deeply for those around her. Whether through her work in security and civil service, her involvement with the Navy Wives Club, preparing meals for neighbors, or supporting local charities through volunteering and giving, she quietly and consistently helped others feel cared for and supported.

Sally found joy in life's simple and meaningful moments. She loved rescuing Scottish Terriers, sewing, reading, camping throughout the Southeast, visiting the beach, and watching sunsets with Conrad. Sally treasured jewelry boxes and elephant figurines that Conrad - and later Chris - brought home from their travels. She also had a deep appreciation for the quiet moments nature offers, especially hummingbirds and other unexpected reminders of God's creation.

Sally is survived by her beloved husband of nearly 51 years, Conrad Raymond Day; her son, Christopher Michael Day (Matt, Maggie & Matt, Sophie); her sisters, Debbie Hauler (Phil, deceased) and Patt Whited (Richard); and her niece, Joanne Payne (Benjamin), along with many other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Rose Vallani; her father, Harry Hauler; and her stepfather, Dominic Fariello.

Family and friends are invited to gather for viewing on May 18, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Naugle Funeral Home, with a celebration of life beginning promptly at 11:00 a.m. Guests are encouraged to dress comfortably in lighter colors or beach casual attire.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations for trees be planted in Sally's memory. She was especially fond of bottle brush trees for the way they attracted hummingbirds, bringing color and life to the world around them.

Services are in the care of Naugle Funeral Home and Cremation Services located at 1203 Hendricks Avenue, Jacksonville, Florida 32207.
