Samuel Kekoa Komatsu

March 29, 2026 — April 9, 2026

Samuel Kekoa Komatsu Profile Photo

On April 9, 2026, Samuel Kekoa Komatsu was ushered into the presence of God while being held in the loving arms of his parents, Trevor and Amber.

While Samuel's life was shorter than expected, his daddy, mommy, and siblings count every moment of his life as a precious gift. Samuel's middle name, Kekoa, means "the warrior," and a warrior he was. From his strong kicks in his mommy's tummy to the way he fought during his time in the hospital, Samuel showed strength beyond his size.

This little warrior points us to the ultimate Warrior-the King of kings and Lord of lords, Jesus Christ-who willingly laid down His life and took it up again three days later, conquering sin and death.

Samuel is survived by his daddy and mommy, Trevor and Amber Komatsu; his five siblings who loved their brother dearly: Reuben, Rosie, Abraham, Gideon, and identical twin brother Simeon; his four beloved grandparents Mike and Danni Komatsu and Greg and Candy Walsh; nearly two dozen aunts and uncles; and many cousins.

A celebration of life service will be held at First Baptist Jacksonville on Friday, April 17, at 11:00 a.m., with a public visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Baptist Jacksonville where Trevor serves as a pastor.

As the family looks to Jesus, they invite you to do the same.
Christ said, "I am the resurrection and the life" (John 11:25).
