With heavy hearts and deep love, we announce the passing of Sidney Foster, 61, of Jacksonville, Florida, who departed this life on April 14, 2026.
Sidney was born on July 29, 1964, in Miami, Florida to Eula Bea Brown and Willie C. Foster. From an early age, he showed kindness, determination, humor, and compassion for people that he met, which is a quality that would continue to shine throughout his life.
He dedicated his life to purpose, touching the lives of many through his work and unwavering spirit. Beyond his profession, Sidney found true joy in simple pleasures—family gatherings, cheering on the Dallas Cowboys and Miami Hurricanes, cooking, and traveling. Those who knew him will always remember his warm smile, quick humor, and the way he could bring people together.
More than anything, Sidney cherished his family and friends. He had a remarkable way of making everyone feel loved and valued, leaving a lasting impression on every heart he touched.
Sidney is survived by his twin sister, Cindy Foster-Rollins (Michael Rollins); sister, Barbara Ann Willingham (Anthony Willingham); brothers, Willie Joe Standifer (Glinnett Standifer) and Randy Lee Brown; and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, friends, and co-workers whom he loved dearly.
He was preceded in death of his mother, Eula Brown; father, Willie C. Foster; and brothers, Ernie Davis, Warrington Standifer, and Charles Edward Brown.
A funeral service will be held on April 25, 2026 at 12:00 PM at Naugle Funeral Home, 1203 Hendrick Avenue, Jacksonville, FL 32207. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor and celebrate Sidney’s life.
Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in the love Sidney gave so freely and the memories that will live on forever. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and never forgotten.
The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
