Vincent Rispoli, 78, of Jacksonville Florida passed away on Friday August 1st, 2025. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on February 6th, 1947 to Mathew and Mary Rispoli. He grew up in the Marine Park section of Brooklyn and loved the Brooklyn Dodgers as a boy. He attended James Madison Highschool. In the neighborhood, he was known as a talented handball and softball player. He also developed a love of scale modeled military equipment and personnel. After graduating from Hunter College CUNY, he became a junior high history teacher and student dean. During his first years as a history teacher, he toured Europe during the summer and took up photography.
He met his future wife, Karen Wasserstrom in 1977, and they married in 1979. Together, they raised two children, Daniel and Leia. He retired from teaching in 2005. In retirement, he maintained his passion for military modelling, producing replicas spanning 2,000 years of military history. He was also known for his extensive knowledge of the history of cinema and baseball history. Vincent is survived by his wife, children and four grandchildren: Elsie Rispoli, Enzo, Zoe and Rio Samara-Rispoli.
