Virginia "Ginny" Wiese, a beloved daughter of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was born on May 2, 1929, and departed from this world on June 13, 2025, in Jacksonville, Florida. Ginny's life was characterized by her unwavering kindness, a warm heart, and an enduring spirit of love that she generously shared with all those around her.
As a devoted wife, mother, and aunt, Ginny's legacy is profoundly felt by her family and friends. She was a kind and loving soul who welcomed not only her own family but also her children's friends into her home, creating a welcoming sanctuary filled with laughter and joy. Ginny became a widow at a young age, yet her strength and resilience shone through as she carried on with grace and faith. Her love for Jesus and her devout Christian spirit guided her through life's challenges, and she became a source of inspiration for her loved ones.
Ginny had a passion for cooking, and her kitchen was often the heart of the home where delicious meals and cherished memories were created. The warmth of her hospitality and the delectable aromas that filled her home will forever be cherished by those fortunate enough to gather around her table.
She is survived by her son, Thewl B. "Skip" Wiese III, and her daughter-in-law, Rose Mary "Rosie" Wiese. Her legacy continues through her grandson, Derek Carpenter, as well as her dear niece, Beth Shoaf (Bill), and nephew, Tim Ginnevan (Annie), who carry her memory forward.
In memory of her beloved family who have passed on, Ginny now rejoins her husband, Thewl B. "Bud" Wiese Jr.; her son, Charles S. "Chuck" Wiese; her sister, Marilyn Ginnevan; her brother-in-law, John "Jack" Ginnevan; and her parents, Charles S. Cribbs and Marion Cribbs.
Ginny Wiese's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, devotion, and culinary delights. Her spirit will forever remain alive in the hearts of those she touched, guiding them through their own journeys, much as she navigated her own with grace and faith. She will be deeply missed, but her love will resonate through generations to come.
Virginia will be laid to rest beside her husband Bud and son Chuck in Irwin Union Cemetary Irwin, Pa.
