Warren Sr. was born August 25, 1940 in Brooklyn, New
York. He graduated from Ketterlinus High School in St.
Augustine, FL, and continued his education at the University of
Florida, where he majored in marketing. After working for a
large food chain in New Orleans, LA, he moved back to Florida
where he worked as a food broker with Beaver Street Foods
for many years. He then established Trade Services
International Food Brokerage company, and traveled
nationwide representing many food lines. Furthermore, he
was the co-founder of Some Place Like Home; a long-time
Jacksonville based assisted living facility, helping Barbara make her childhood dream a reality. Together they have been instrumental members of
the Jacksonville community with their assisted living facilities
and grassroots development of the Wildlife Rescue Coalition of Northeast Florida.
He was known for his kind temperament, loving demeanor,
mood enhancing smile, and the warmest of hugs. His son, Chip,
proudly states, "that his dad taught him so many things that
will live on well beyond his years. He was the purest example
of kindness, support, guidance, and love."
