Winston Joseph Eugene Jr. made his transition on May 8, 2022 in Jacksonville Florida with his loving wife Sharon Eugene by his side. Born December 14, 1944 in Detroit, Michigan to Winston Joseph Eugene Sr. and Mary Ruth Edwards. Winston Sr and his wife Marie Davis Eugene raised him. Winston attended Northwestern High School where he played on the football and baseball teams. He joined the US Army by the age of 17 and was deployed to Okinawa, Japan. Winston served two terms in Vietnam. During his service in Vietnam, Winston was decorated with many outstanding honors and metals as a US Army Ranger and Paratrooper. He received two prestigious unit awards, these are the highest honor given to a combat unit. He was assigned the medal for expeditionary service, the national defense medal, medal for good conduct, merit and service to Vietnam. He also received a medal for three purple hearts. Winston was in the Airborne Rangers and assigned in the Special Operations Unit. After completing 21 years in the US Army he retired and worked at the US Post Office where he retired a second time in September 2005.



Winston enjoyed riding motorcycles and was a charter member of the Wolverine Chapter Clinton Township Harley Davidson Group, known as Chili Pepper. He was avid golfer and after moving to Jacksonville Florida for retirement he played everyday. He as part of the Sharks golf group. He enjoyed traveling, road trips and took many cruise vacations with his wife Sharon. Winston loved his family and his best times were when they were altogether for vacation, holidays and other special occasions.


Preceding him in death are his mother Mary Ruth Edwards and his parents, Joseph Eugene Sr and Marie Davis Eugene, his brother Richard , his sister Jayvonne
