Our History

Vernon and Stella Naugle opened the doors of their first funeral home in 1919. Their goal was to provide a necessary service to people at their greatest time of need, and to do so as a neighbor and friend. Since that day, more than a hundred years ago, we have honored their high standards and caring ideals in our daily endeavors.

We believe that our dedication to sincere service has earned the respect and trust of our community. We pledge to continue providing the honest service began by Vernon and Stella Naugle, and to provide it with all the integrity they instilled in this family owned and operated business. Our staff is trained and licensed to assist with every detail of making funeral and cremation arrangements. This includes offering advice and guidance throughout the decision-making process, answering questions about local customs and costs, assuring that legal requirements are met, and providing whatever equipment, facilities, and technical services are necessary or desired. We are prepared to carry out the wishes of those making the arrangements with understanding and consideration for everyone concerned.

When it is practical or possible, making funeral arrangements in advance of need can provide the peace of mind that all details have been taken care of in a way that is satisfying to oneself and one's survivors. A family discussion combined with our counsel can assure that everyone involved feels comfortable with the arrangements. Certainly we all would prefer that our loved ones be able to say afterward, "I'm glad we did" rather than "I wish I had." Pre-planning can help accomplish this goal.

Today, making any kind of funeral arrangements involves many choices and decisions. It is helpful to consider all the options and take time to ask questions before making final decisions about such an important event. It is our intent to help make the entire experience as positive as possible. Since 1919, following our principals of affordable and trustworthy service, we have grown into a reliable resource that your family can depend on for their funeral, cremation, and preplanning needs. Rooted in tradition, we stay firmly connected to the community we serve. We serve all faiths and all families in the only way we know how, by staying true to our heritage.

Thank you for your continued trust in our Funeral Home in Jacksonville FL as we strive to maintain a quality of service second to none, carrying on the traditions started many years ago by Vernon Cameron and Stella Jane Naugle, Robert M. and Helen G. Naugle, Bobby and Elaine L. Naugle continued today by Paul C. and Patty Budd Naugle, P. Cameron Naugle and Katherine Schnauss Naugle.

Online Memorial

We can create a customized, online memorial for you to share with family and friends. The memorial includes the obituary and any photographs you wish to provide. It will serve as a place for visitors to post condolences, share memories, upload photos, and light candles in honor of your loved one.

Tribute Video

We can produce a personal tribute video that can be played at the service and online. Simply provide us with the photographs you want to include and we will transform them into a video celebration of your treasured memories. DVDs or digital files of the video are also available.

Ordering Flowers

We make it easy for friends and family to send flowers to your home or service to honor your loved one. We have partnered with local florists to offer the convenience of ordering directly from the obituary page of our website. You can also use this feature to select the flowers you would like at the service. This is a secure way to choose beautiful arrangements from the privacy and comfort of your home.

Sharing Service Details

We reduce the stress of contacting those who need the details of the service for your loved one. We post the dates and times of the service as part of the online memorial on our website. You can then either share the memorial on your Facebook or Twitter page or copy the details from the site into an email or text. Both options give you the peace of mind that you have provided the necessary information to those who need it.
